Humming the intro of Aladdin in my head I reach for this novel, high expectations and coffee in the hand I settle in to travel to one of the world's richest places (both in culture and magic) in this highly anticipated debut of 2019.
To be honest, I am a bit of a scaredy cat, so when my friend approached me with a buddy read for this book I wasn't sure if it was going to be as fun for me. (I tend to hide behind my hands during Stranger Things...enough said) But nevertheless her enthusiasm was contagious and I agreed. And so we start a three day read of one the most intense books I have read all year.
